September 17-19

Hiiiiiiiiii, I’m Meackie!!!!!! My daddy asked me to give picks for this week’s MEAC games. Using the wisdom I got from my daddy, I picked the winners of all the games. GO MEAC!!!!

MEAC

Hampton vs. A&T:

My daddy says that this is the feature game on Thursday night on ESPN 422. That means there are only 421 other ESPNs that people will have to turn past to watch this game. In most of the battles of former CIAA teams against current CIAA teams this year the former CIAA turned MEAC team has lost to the current CIAA team. Look for this trend to continue as former CIAA member
Hampton loses to current CIAA member NC A&T.

Morgan State vs. Savannah State:

My daddy told me Cleveland is a good quarterback, but a bad city. As if living in Cleveland wasn't punishment enough, now the residents of the "mistake by the lake" are forced to sit through this. Many people call me the "mistake by the lake" because I was born in Hampton. But there is no mistaking one thing. Morgan by a score equal to the total attendance of the game.

South Caroline State vs. Bethune-Cookman:

SC State fired my daddy! But I’m not so stupid that I’d forget that Cleveland is a bad city but a good quarterback. SC State by a dozen.

James Madison vs. Delaware State:

My daddy says that the series between the two schools is even and that Mr. Madison had to score at the end of the game to win by a point the last time they played. But my daddy also says that even though Delaware State's ice is indeed turning colder by the minute, Mr. Madison's ice is so cold it can freeze tundra. Mr. Madison by twenty.

FAMU vs. Howard:

My daddy’s mad at FAMU for leaving. He also said that he going down cause they ain't around baby his whole world upside down sleep don't come easy. FAMU's whole world will be turned upside down when Howard beats them to sleep easily.

Norfolk State vs. Open:

This one's a tie.

SWAC:

Washington State vs. Grambling:

My daddy says the SWAC is the greatest football conference ever. But he also says that the ice gets real cold up in the northwest and he says that Grambling's athletic director's record as head coach at SC State was one of the reasons SC State fired my daddy. So Washington State by dozens and dozens.

SIAC:

Lane vs. Albany State:

My daddy says that Albany State would be a great addition to the MEAC since Savannah State sucks. I asked my daddy about Lane and he said something about a Ms. Bryant. Albany State by 11.

CIAA:

Bowie State vs. Livingstone:

My daddy says that Bowie State will make a great addition to the MEAC one day if we have to expand again. My daddy also says that Livingstone played in the first HBCU football game ever and hasn't hardly played since. Bowie State by 29.

Independents:

Nicholls State vs. Cheyney:

My daddy said I was consumated to "Fire and Desire" by Rick James and Teena Marie. There's a line in that song that says something like "you were cold as ice... long ago. BABAAYY BAABBAAYYY. I wasn't very very very nice you knoooowww..." In other words, Nicholls State's ice is cold and they won't be very nice to the vice president. Hey Mr. Cheyney, go ufck yourself. Nicholls State by the speed limit on a rural highway.
