MEACFANS PROGNOSTICATORS 2006

Well, it's almost over and as much as  I love the game, this season has been agonizing.  I'm just tired now.  And broke.  A friend told me last week that I was "too close" to it and that maybe I should just step back bit.  It may be great advice, but I doubt I'll take it.

So, I'll join the ranks of fans who try and figure out what went right and what went wrong.  I'll use a philosophical approach and attempt to not place blame on any particular positions or coaches.  Perhaps I can convince the "really pissed off people" to become more than Monday morning Quarterbacks.  Wouldn't that be a nice change?

Let me take this opportunity to say thank you to each of you who made this season even more memorable for me.  You took the time to meet and greet and bond.  That was always an added incentive to be in the locale.  From the warms hugs and smiles of the Bulldog Faithful to the gentle chiding that MorganFan dished out, it was wonderful.  Thanks for all the text messages with updates from OrangeTiger, Innovator (from whereever he was in the world), and Redcat.  To my phone pals, Spartanhead and Blue & Gold Marching Machine 80 and anybody else I forgot, let's all make sure we continue to communicate.  Mrs. Dittiboo, what a real pleasure.  You're just absolutely beautiful.  

A very special thank you to the Prognosticators.  I get teary when I know I can't come up with adequate words of thanks to you.  You folks took an idea and made it work for us.  Skegee sent that thing EVERY Tuesday like clockwork.  Bluedog coined a phrase that was most appropriate for both of us:  Lostober, Tigerpride was almost perfect some weeks in his prediction, Gr8ness who submitted from his hospital room, Sophisticat gave us that professional, detailed, on-point female point of view.  Doomsday could make any prior week's bad game fade into the background with the upcoming week's predictions.   Thank you, thank you, thank you.
