Recap: In what seems to be a routine now that teams have the oil and water has separated. NCCU, ECSU and VUU keep winning, V-State finally wins, and JCSU stumbles to pretty much knock itself out the division race. That’s all that you really need to know at this point. Let’s get right into the
games:
Game of the Week: While the Gold Bowl is deserving of this spot, I’m going to go on a limb and tab Fayetteville State @ J.C. Smith as the game to keep your eye on. Although the Broncos were dismantled last week, the real reason I think this game is going to be close it from the let down the Golden Bulls had against St. Aug. J.C. wasn’t workin it, and like a team every year in the CIAA west…someone always has a late season meltdown…and this is your team right here. Look for a stunning upset by Fayetteville State..by 3
Gold Bowl: Virginia schools, Union and State square up to play in another bitter rivalry. If you had to describe these two teams in terms of jewelry, Union seems to prefer platinum this year and State is like that bubble gum 25 cent jewelry that always turned green around your neck; it looked like an attractive buy at first, but you get what you pay
for…Union by 15..
Fur coat special: Shaw travels to the sea to take on the Vikings of Elizabeth City. Here’s an interesting fact…Winter is coming! And from the past, Vikings like and need new Bear fur coats for the postseason play. Like the ferocious Nordic people that their mascot is pattern after, these reborn Vikes will once again be victorious, and it wont be nothing pretty to witness (this game wont be easy, in other words) Shaw will lose by only 10.
It’s Raining Cats and Dogs: Bowie goes to St. Pauls…and with some type of offense back with it, don’t look for this game to be pretty to witness (and this game should be a lot easier for the Aforementioned game for Bowie)
BSU by 21
Landfill Bowl: St. Aug @ Livingstone: It’s all about pride Baby!...Although the urge is to pick Livingstone here, Don’t! Don’t do that to yourself. St. Aug’s defense had their way with JC and that is enough to pick them over
LC. SAC by 10
O-zone Altitude: Langston @ NC Central- As long as the Eagles aren’t looking into the future, they should be able to defeat a Langston squad that’s pretty much predicting to ruffle the Eagles feathers more than half the CIAA has been able to do..
