a living legend

Well this has really been a wacky year in the SWAC. Nothing seems to be as it should making even the best of prognosticators pull their hair out, and with half the season over there are seven legitimate teams in contention for the conference title. Well here goes again.

Grambling State vs. Jackson State Robinson Stadium Grambling, LA 1:30pm
This game like all games this weekend in the SWAC will be closely watch by all. Look for a whole lotta cell phone texting and internet surfing to keep up with the score of this game to see if the Tigers can stay alive. This game is a toss up

Texas Southern vs. Miss Valley State Houston, TX 2:00pm Homecoming
The Tigers still have a chance at a miracle year and it’s their homecoming. Look for a hard fought game but with the home team coming up short.

Alcorn State vs. Southern Alcorn State, MS 2:00pm
If it’s possible to have a bigger and better game after last weekend's double OT this is it.
On paper the Braves are just about dead last in everything, but this isn’t one of those games where stats matter.

The Jaguars have their backs against the wall again having to run the table to ensure an appearance in the SCG. Does Pete and his staff have it in them to stop screwing up wins?

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Alabama A&M Golden Lion Stadium Pine Bluff, AR 2:30pm Homecoming
Still in the hunt and looking ahead to the showdown on the Bluff, look for this not to be a distraction for the Lions, but to give them more focus.
