Okay, so I was wrong in not picking NCCU and JCSU not to win this past Saturday.  Congrats to the Eagles and Golden Bulls.  I was really disappointed in the Broncos of Fayetteville state, as they were treated to a donut by Wingate, 14-0.  Shame on you, FSU!

Teams will look to redeem themselves as some intriguing out of conference action takes place.  Which brings us up to:

Game of the Week: Virginia State Trojans @ Norfolk State Spartans 

VSU has own this meeting and it has to come to an end sometime. They have played as if they had the scholarship edge.  I mean, come on NSU. You did leave the CIAA almost 10 years ago.  NSU by….it doesn’t matter, just please win this game.

Shaw Bears @ NCCU Eagles

I didn’t realize that the U.S. Air Force was putting on an air show….oh wait that’s just the sight of two of the top Quarterbacks in the conference.  With the added drama Shaw’s coach being a former coordinator of NCCU, the defense may see some familiar schemes and this game could have the same effect of NSU and BCC of last year, a high scoring, dramatic finish.  Broadway will leave this game screamin “IM DA MAN!!!” NCCU by 8

Eliz City State Viking @ Livingstone Blue Bears

In the “Blue Bowl”, a team who is ready to turn the corner travels to a team that still stuck in neutral.  This game could have the potential to be a slugfest and I like ECSU’s chances. ECSU by 5

JCSU @Glenville State 

Bulls like flat land, they don’t like mountains. (Glenville State is in WV) Glenville by 25

West Virginia State @ Bowie State 

Look for Bowie to rev up their season on the ground with Ike Redman.  BSU by 15

Lane @ St. Aug 

Lane is coming into this game having on a ONE game winning streak.  (They didn’t win last year).  Enjoy it while you can dragons, St. Aug has a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.  SAC by 10

Fayetteville State @ Va. Union

FSU should get back on track with this game.  Give out the donuts instead of getting them.  FSU by 21
