CIAA Week 1 by WSSU gr8ness97 Welcome to the CIAA channel.
I am your host, gr8ness97, and I am here to direct you to the best seats in the
house, and steer clear of those that aren’t.
We are all in the mindset that everyone’s team is better or worse, and
the debate is endless. Whether the
Eagle fans that are upset because they weren’t predicted to finish first in
their division, Golden Bull fans (wherever they are) saying they will win a
game, and anything else that might include Trojans, Vikings, Broncos, Bears,
Blue Bears (why is a bear blue), Falcons, Tigers, Bulldogs, and Panthers (makes
you want to say lions and tigers and bears oh my!) everything in between, you
can find it here. Every week, teams will be going at it and the contenders will
be separated from the pretenders (and trust me, they are out there). So without
further ado, let me introduce you to out contestants. Game of
the week: Albany
State Golden Rams @ North Carolina Central Eagles By far, this is everyone’s
game of the week, especially in the Southeastern part of the country.
Both teams are ranked in the top 25 (can we get an official poll, since
they are scattered everywhere on every poll you see), so it should be a great
game by far, and anything else would be a letdown. Unfortunately for the Eagles, you should have a QB that’s a
little more grounded that what you have. A QB who has never played a college
game wont get it against perennial winners with a vicious defense that continues
to reload year after year. The
Golden Rams will have some fowl for dinner to take back to feed the clan back in
Ga. Golden Rams by a touchdown. Fayetteville
State Broncos @ Wingate Bulldogs In the next crucial out of
conference game for the CIAA, the Broncos will travel to play Wingate.
Wingate is a mid level team in the South Atlantic Conference, who is know
for their strong football teams. If
you didn’t know, they started the season last year winning their first 5
games, and return key starters. The Broncos have Jonathan Autry, who makes a
great case to be called the number one quarterback in the conference.
He’s good, but there’s
no I in team. My heart says Broncos
but sense kicks in and says that it will be an upset if they do win.
Bulldogs by 14 Quickies Johnson
C. Smith Golden Bulls @ Edward Waters Tigers If there was a roll call,
then Smith would be ahead of Waters. That’s
the only advantage JSCU has. Tigers by 5 Livingstone
Blue Bears @ Lenoir-Rhyne Bears Lenoir-Rhyne surprised some
people last year, including taking NCCU to overtime last year. They were picked
second to last this year. Livingstone
was picked to help bring up the rear last year and made it to dead last this
year. Someone, I repeat SOMEONE picked JCSU over Livingstone.
Imagine what’s going to happen then. It
will not be pretty. The correctly colored bears by 25. St.
Paul’s Tigers @ Liberty Flames The tiger’s fur will be in Flames by halftime. This match-up isn’t fair. Put the Flames out by 40.
Bonus Winston-Salem
State Rams Vs. Catawba Indians This will also be a good
game. The Rams sputtered in the 4th quarter last year
and have revenge on their minds. Catawba
had a disappointing season last year and aren’t predicted to do any better
this year. WSSU, get the wins while
you can, the storm is gonna be worse before it gets better. Rams by 3. Enjoy the games, I know I will!
