Recap: All that needs to be known at this point is that NCCU, JCSU, ECSU and VUU are the teams of interest looking at real postseason aspirations. Everyone else is playing for pride and nothing else. 

Game of the week: ECSU @ VUU…This game will be a slugfest, as the league's best defense and offense square up against each other. Defense wins championships, this game is in Elizabeth City, and it's Homecoming…the trifecta that will be too much for the Panthers to overcome. ECSU by 14 

Honorable Mention: JCSU @ NCCU…If JC had not lost to St. Aug, this game would be a lot bigger. Instead, it is simply looked upon as a Homecoming game for the Eagles. Eagles take flight again as they continue to climb for that winning season. NCCU by 21 

Livingstone @ Fayetteville State…So hard to choose…Everytime I choose Fayetteville State, they end up losing. Everytime I end up picking against Livingstone, they lose as predicted. Something has to give. Go for the State college by 10. 

Virginia State @ Bowie State…Look for BSU to put this game away to salvage a winning record. Bulldogs by 7 

St. Aug’s @ Winston-Salem State. You know who I'm going for in this match up. Look for the Rams to run for 200+ yards and score for more than 30 for the third time this season to move to 4-6 on the season. 

Shaw @ St. Paul's…Shot in the dark says Shaw by 3
